Zangief - Street Fighter 6
He first appeared in Street Fighter II: The World Warrior in 1991. Throughout the series, he is a professional wrestler fighting to prove Russia's superiority over other nations. He was also the only character to defeat Seth in Street Fighter IV, making him the canon grand champion. The Red Cyclone is also known as him.
There is a misconception that the name Zangief comes of Russian origin, but it is Ossetian, derived from an Eastern Slavic variant of the name Zanjiati (Ossetian: Зæнджиаты).
His famous attacks are Double Lariat and Screw Piledriver. To use Screw Piledriver, players only need to enter a circle as a command. This attack requires a lot of training to work flawlessly.
As a powerful but slow character, Zangief can cause substantial damage and attack. However, it takes a lot of patience to move in competition to have a chance of catching the opponent.
