This marks Haohmaru's historic first appearance in the KOF series. As the iconic protagonist of the Samurai Shodown franchise, he brings his legendary katana, Fugudoku, to the King of Iron Fist tournament to test his steel against the world's greatest fighters.
The developers have masterfully integrated Haohmaru into the KOF gameplay engine. While his classic, high-impact strikes and powerful signature moves remain intact, he has been granted enhanced mobility and flexibility to match the faster tempo of the KOF series. This seamless blend of sword-based combat and traditional martial arts offers a unique dynamic, allowing players to feel the true weight and lethality of a master swordsman in a modern arena.
