Goenitz - DLC Characters
Get Straight
Intro
Goenitz made his debut in the KOF series in KOF 96, serving as the formidable Final Boss. As the leader of the Heavenly Kings of Orochi, he is a supreme master of aerokinesis, wielding the power of wind with a chillingly calm and priestly elegance.
A key highlight of his character is his profound and intricate connection to Iori Yagami. Players will notice that Goenitz utilizes certain secret techniques, such as the iconic Ya Otome, that mirror those of Iori. This is a masterstroke of KOF’s narrative design, subtly revealing the dark ties between the Yagami lineage and the Orochi bloodline.
Features
Goenitz’s introduction served as a masterful narrative prelude to the events of KOF 97. As the leader of the Four Heavenly Kings of Orochi, he stands alongside Orochi Yashiro (Earth), Orochi Shermie (Thunder), and Orochi Chris (Fire). Each of these formidable heralds commands a specific elemental power, with Goenitz reigning supreme as the Master of Wind.
In terms of gameplay, Goenitz excels at spatial manipulation and zone control. He skillfully uses his wind-based projectiles as a barrier to keep opponents at bay. However, even at close range, he is far from vulnerable; his vicious combos and high-damage command throws ensure that anyone bold enough to close the distance pays a heavy price. His fighting style, elegant yet ruthless, perfectly embodies the terrifying nature of the "Blowing Wind."
