The first appearance of A.K.I. in the Street Fighter series was in Street Fighter 6. F.A.N.G trains the white-haired Chinese woman and also uses poisons in her combat. In contrast to her master's crane kung fu, she uses snake kung fu, which involves flexibility.
During the story, she was a teenager who was adopted by F.A.N.G and has developed an unhealthy obsession with him. Her pale appearance and white hair were a result of her training regimen to become poison-resistant.

Her special moves Nightshade Pulse and Orchid Spring allow her to poison her opponents immediately, while her tricky and slow-paced attack methods make her opponents anxious to attack but unable to do so.
The character of A.K.I. revolves heavily around her poison mechanic. Several of A.K.I.'s specials poison opponents on hit, slowly draining their life bars. By using this tactic, A.K.I. entices her opponents to risk their lives before elegantly maneuvering around them and taking them down.
