Intro

The first appearance of Ed in Street Fighter series was in Season 2 DLC(Downloadable Content) for Street Fighter V. As a potential replacement body for Bison, he appeared in Street Fighter IV as a non-playable character during Balrog's ending before being stolen by S.I.N. Balrog frees Ed as a child, believing his ability to channel Psycho Power could benefit Balrog.
It can be said that his gameplay is a mixture between Balrog and M. Bison, since he possesses both the boxing prowess (especially kickboxing outside fist-only official match) and the psychokinetic powers of the latter. He also specializes in flicker jabs. Until Street Fighter 6, he discarded his kickboxing fighting style for pure boxing.

Features

Psycho Flicker and Psycho Spark are special moves that allow him to attack his enemy immediately and from a distance, forcing his enemy back and making it difficult for him to close the distance.
In contrast to the typical "boxer" archetype, Ed plays things out in the middle. Balrog fights pressure down, Dudley fights counterpunching orthodox, and Ed fights with flicker-style jabs modeled after Thomas Hearns. The best way for Ed to work his excellent pokes is to give his opponents some breathing room.
