Intro
Akuma was first introduced as a secret character in Super Street Fighter II Turbo to replace M. Bison as a boss alternative. As the storyline goes, Gouken is Ryu's and Ken's master and he is Gouken's younger brother.
Many of his appearances in other series, like Marvel vs. Capcom and SNK vs. Capcom, were guest appearances, especially in Tekken 7.
Features
Akuma's design may also borrow elements from another being of Buddhist origin, the Asura. Asura are demigod-like beings known for their indulgence in violence and are cursed to live in a world of never-ending conflict.
Akuma fights using the Ansatsuken style. His trademark ability is Demon Teleport or Ashura Senku. This ability allows him to glide across battlefields and pass through opponents.
